High pressure passing north of the region tonight will keep chilly air locked in the mid Atlantic early Thursday. A warm front will approach from the south and west Thursday evening. A cold front is expected to move across Maryland from west to east on Friday.

TONIGHT: Cloudy with a chance of light rain after midnight...some sleet possible in the colder areas north and west of Baltimore...Lows 33-40...Winds: Light.
THURSDAY: Cloudy and chilly with a chance of rain in the morning, possibly mixed with some sleet north and west of Baltimore...cloudy with drizzle and fog in the afternoon...Temperatures rising through the 40s in the afternoon and into the 50s by evening.
THURSDAY NIGHT: Cloudy and milder with showers...Temperatures rising through the 50s.
FRIDAY: Showers and unseasonably mild in the morning, then partial clearing, windy, and turning colder in the afternoon...Temperatures falling from the low 60s in the morning into the 40s during the afternoon.
